Notice for recent recall.
If you have received a link to this webpage, it is because our records indicate you may have purchased one or more specific Cannabis strains sold between 11/14/2018 and 1/22/2019. It is the duty of The Patient Station to notify you of the recall concerning the products with the following production batch numbers.
Sugar Black Rose
Sunset Bubba Kush
Under the current extended Caregiver model, no provisioning center (licensed or not) is required by the state of Michigan to perform laboratory testing. The Patient Station, which is licensed, has elected to test the products attained from its growers and vendors as an added measure of safety and courtesy to its patients. However, despite testing being voluntary, if test results indicate that an item has exceeded the maximum allowed value for a particular material, then it is mandatory to recall the product and destroy the remainder. Each test costs $500 per batch to conduct.
The Patient Station is testing products it purchases from vendors to protect its patients. Other facilities could well be in possession and sale of such ‘recallable’ products and more, but can’t be recalled without testing. A product cannot fail a test if the test is not issued in the first place.
It should further be noted that the strain names on the recall list are of a single batch, not the whole strain. For example, Querkle is a strain produced and procured at multiple times from multiple growers, resulting in multiple versions. Only the production batch number (in this case: 1A4050100000899000000870 and 1A4050100000899000000939) indicates a recalled batch of a certain strain. The vast majority of Querkle sold is unaffected.
